PRJUSD Food Services Director Jessie Wesch recently joined school nutrition teams from across San Luis Obispo County for a collaborative back-to-school culinary workshop hosted by San Luis Coastal Unified School District.

Food service staff from Paso Robles, San Luis Coastal, Atascadero, and Lucia Mar worked together to test new recipes, share culinary techniques, and discuss local ingredients and food sourcing. The workshop gave school nutrition professionals an opportunity to learn from one another while strengthening partnerships across the region.

Wesch spoke with KSBY about the value of that collaboration and the work districts are doing together to continue improving school meals for students and families.
