Join the 2025-2026 LCAP PAC

Each year, every school district in California engages parents in the process of contributing to the district's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP is a three-year California school improvement plan that describes a district's goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes.

Tied to the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), the LCAP requires local educational agencies (LEAs) to involve parents, students, staff and community members in the planning process. The plan focuses on meeting state and local priorities, and LEAs must explain how they will provide increased or improved services for low-income students, English learners, and foster youth.

The LCAP prioritizes engagement (parent, student, staff, community), conditions for learning, and student outcomes

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District aims to engage parents, students, staff, and community in a variety of ways, one of which is through surveys, another of which is through the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), which will meet four times during the 2025-2026 school year.

We need 2 parent PAC members from each school site to participate.

The Parent Advisory Committee must be composed of a majority of parents or legal guardians of currently enrolled students. The committee must include parents of students who are low incomeEnglish learners and foster youth and parents of students with disabilities (5 CCR 15495[f]; EC sections 52063 and 52069).

In addition, we will have two secondary students (middle or high school) on the PAC. Particular effort should be made to reach out to at-risk or disadvantaged pupils to serve as members of a Parent Advisory Committee...as their participation will provide keen insight into many of the issues that pupils face in their day-to-day lives (EC sections 52063[d] and 52069[d]).

The PAC meetings will be held:

  • Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 5pm
  • Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 5pm
  • Thursday, February 19 at 5pm
  • Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 5pm

The first meeting will be in person with subsequent meetings either in person or via Zoom, depending on member preference. All meetings and materials will be bilingual (English-Spanish).

If you are interested in serving on the LCAP PAC, please complete the form below, and if your middle or high school student is interested in participating, there is room on the form to include them as well.

Committee participants will be selected based on state criteria. Parents and secondary students who have been selected will be notified by October 31.

Thank you for your interest in serving on the 2025-2026 Local Control Accountability Plan Parent Advisory Committee!
